A rolled over tanker truck leaking fuel is seen on northbound I-95, Tuesday, March 30, 2021, in Pompano Beach between Atlantic Blvd., and Cypress Creek Rd. The 9,000 gallon spill caused the closure of the freeway both directions.

POMPANO BEACH — Thousands of motorists are back on Interstate 95 after spending Tuesday looking for another way to get to work and home through Pompano Beach.

A collision between a tanker truck and car shut down I-95 in both directions for about seven hours.

The tanker tipped on its side about 7 a.m. just north of the Cypress Creek Road exit 33B, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.
