What better way to celebrate National Radio Day than with our loyal listeners? The WLRN team set up to have four meals in the four counties that we serve. So on Saturday. August 20th we had breakfast in Palm Beach, lunch in Broward, dinner in Miami-Dade and finished the day with desserts at our southernmost bureau in Key West.
Our "Moveable Feast" started at Howley's in Palm Beach, where our team got to have coffee and pancakes with the first group of loyal listeners (definitely morning folks, since we met at 8:30 am).
Our second stop was Ally's Comfort Cafe in Broward County. Not only we had delicious food (oh, those pancakes!) but the conversation with our listeners was lively and interesting.

As soon as lunch was over, we jumped in our cars and continued south to Miami-Dade County. It was a good thing that we left early, because there was traffic on the 75 highway Southbound, just where it connects with the Palmetto Expressway.
Miami, you are next! On our way to have dinner at on Bird Rd. Come and meet us!

But fear not! Our brave team made it to the Palacio de los Jugos on Bird Road in time to meet with our listeners.
Our guests in Miami got a special treat: Tim Padgett invited them to be "guest voices" in his next piece (that airs this Tuesday), translating some of the interviews that he did originally in Spanish.
Our final stop was Key West, where delicious desserts and a lively crowd awaited.
From the bottom of our hearts: Thank you to all who came to share a meal with us! We loved meeting you in person and hearing your feedback.
For those who couldn't make it: fear not! We will be doing more events in the future. See you next time!
